Nick Binder, AIA, NCARB
I believe strong architecture requires clarity at every scale of a project, from the overall vision to the smallest decisions that shape how a space is experienced and used. The success of a building depends on how well those parts work together.
As a licensed architect in New York and Massachusetts, I bring more than a decade of experience across residential, commercial, and institutional projects. I began my career at Elkus Manfredi Architects, contributing to large scale urban developments, and later worked with RODE Architects, River Architects, and KG+D Architects. Across these roles, I led complex projects, coordinated consultant teams, and developed the technical discipline that informs my work today.
Over time, I recognized that meaningful work depends on close collaboration and sustained involvement. I founded BinderHaus to structure my practice around that principle, bringing the same level of rigor and accountability to projects of varying scale.
My approach is grounded in balanced, thoughtful design, technical precision, and clear communication. Whether designing a new building, a renovation, or an adaptive reuse, my goal is to guide each project toward a solution that is functional, composed, and carefully resolved.
I currently serve as a Board Director for AIA Westchester Hudson Valley and remain actively engaged in the architectural community.
